Outdoor painting in vintage colours

You can use Outdoor Vintage paint to add a touch of colour to your garden accessories for the balcony, decking or patio. The paint can be applied to almost any surface including wood, plaster, zinc, stone, and terracotta and is extremely weather and wear resistant. If you are going to paint a wooden object, such as a chair, make sure that you sand it properly to ensure that it is completely free of paint, wax and oil. Any item painted with Outdoor Vintage paint will need to dry for 24 hours indoors before it can be placed outside.

Base coat

Use a flat brush to apply a coat of white base coat and leave to dry for 1 hour.

Use a sponge to apply the paint

Dip a paint sponge into the Outdoor Vintage paint and drag it over the base coated surface. Continue to apply the paint until you are satisfied with the result. To create a striped effect, try pressing the sponge onto the surface of your item using different levels of pressure.
